OAP, Freeze And Olori Wuraola Of Ife Speak Against Feminism: "Men And Women Can Never Be Equal"

Cool FM OAP, Freeze and Olori Wuraola of Ife has gave their two cents on the lingering gender equality struggle. Kicking against it with all they have got.

In an interview with Geneieve magazine, Freeze, real name Ifedapo Oyerinde, stated that he is not a keen advocate of gender equality.
‘The concept of being a feminist is something that denies many women of having a husband. There are no roles for men and no roles for women. When you get to a situation, your intelligence, experience and your gut feeling should guide you.
‘When you find yourself in a situation, you react to it accordingly. If you marry an African man, you should know that you shouldn’t tell him to do the dishes unless he chooses to help you out. I can mention quite a few feminists. Rather I would give a quote from ancient Rome that says, ‘Women rule the world; but not by stomping down their pretty little feet.’
‘Women that have ruled the world have done so by manipulating men and using what they have to get what they want. Demanding authority doesn’t work. I am not a feminist and would never marry one,’ he emphatically stated.
‘Women need to be careful not to create an imbalance in the society because it would be at the detriment of their children.
‘Let’s be careful not to create an imbalance that will turn Nigeria into another America where everyone has a mum and no daddy.
On her part, Olori Wuraola Adewusi, the wife of the Ooni of Ife, while speaking at the Emerging Women’s Forum held in Maryland, USA, on Thursday, slammed the fight against gender equality - feminism.

Wuraola said, “I am not a huge fan of Gender equality,” adding that, “we can’t be equal, We can’t be men. We have our roles to play here, a very pivotal one.”

According to a publication on her instagram page, her Majesty went on to speak about the powerful roles women play and how women should tap into their powers by exploring themselves in order to reach extraordinary heights, as opposed to fighting for power with their male counterparts.
She said, "the modern pattern of feminism has succeeded in limiting women of the heights they could reach; gender equality is unrealistic. We can never be equal with men, we are here for a great purpose, we have our roles to play we are powerful and we are a force of nature.”
"Without motivation, we can't be inspired and without inspiration, we can't get to the next level. Relationships are suffering today, because women want to be men...You want to be treated like a queen, but you don't carry yourself like a Queen. I want you all to remember as Women, that we are powerful people... We are here for a greater purpose."
"By struggling to be equal, we limit our potential of attaining incredible heights. Who is to say that we can't be greater?" She added.
