UNIPORT Students Protest Hike In Tuition Fees, One Feared Killed | Graphic Pics

Students of the University of Port Harcourt this morning shutdown all academic activities in the institution over increment in the tuition fees and "no school fees-no examination" policy by the school's management.
The protest which began as early as 5.am saw the death of a male student named Peter Ofurum. Peter who's said to be the Faculty president of Management Sciences, (pictured above) was allegedly shot dead by a police officer...

The students allege that police officers brought in to maintain law and order, fired gunshots which hit the deceased, killing him. Angry students have started destroying school properties and properties of resident lecturer in protest of his death. The school has since been shut down.
